ERS Shop Cookie Policy
Last updated: 14 August 2026
This policy explains how Electrical Rewind Service (Limerick) Limited, trading as ERS Shop, uses cookies and similar technologies on www.ersshop.ie. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
In short: necessary cookies keep the online shop working. Optional analytics, advertising and functional cookies are used only if you choose to allow them.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small files stored on your computer, phone or other device when you visit a website. They allow the website to remember information about your visit, such as the items in your basket or the choices you made. We use the word cookies to include similar technologies such as pixels, tags and local storage.
Session cookies are normally removed when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain for a set period or until you delete them. Cookies set by ERS Shop are first-party cookies. Cookies set by another service used on the website are third-party cookies.
How We Use Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to:
- Operate the online shop - keep your session secure, remember basket contents and allow you to complete checkout.
- Remember your choices - including your cookie preferences and, where relevant, your account session.
- Improve the website - understand how visitors use the shop, but only where analytics consent has been given.
- Measure advertising - understand whether our advertising leads to visits or purchases, but only where advertising consent has been given.
We do not use cookies to store your full payment card details. Card details are entered directly into Stripe's payment service.
Types of Cookies We Use
Strictly necessary cookies. These are required for essential shopping functions such as security, the basket, account login, checkout, payment processing and remembering your cookie choice. They are set automatically because the service you request cannot work properly without them.
Analytics cookies. With your consent, Google Analytics helps us understand which pages and products visitors view and how they move around the website. We use this information to improve the shop.
Advertising cookies. With your consent, Google Ads may help us measure advertising performance and show ERS Shop advertising on other websites.
Functional cookies. These support optional features or remember additional preferences. They are used only where you have chosen to allow them, unless a particular function is strictly necessary for a service you requested.
The current list of individual cookies and similar technologies - including their names, providers, purposes and expiry periods - is available in Cookie Settings on our website. That list forms part of this Cookie Policy.
Managing Your Cookie Choices
When you first visit our website, the cookie banner allows you to Accept all cookies, Reject non-essential cookies or Manage preferences by category. Optional cookies are switched off until you choose to allow them.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the Cookie Settings link in the website footer. We remember your preference for no longer than six months and then ask you to choose again. We may ask sooner if the cookies or their purposes change.
Rejecting optional cookies will not stop you from browsing products, adding items to your basket or making a purchase. It may prevent some optional features from working. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings, but blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop account, basket or checkout functions from working.
Third-Party Services
The main services that may set or use cookies through our website are:
- AB Commerce - our e-commerce platform provider.
- Stripe - payment processing, security and fraud prevention.
- Google - Google Analytics and Google Ads, used only where the relevant consent has been given.
These organisations may process information under their own privacy policies. Information about our service providers and international data transfers is available in our Privacy Policy.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when the cookies, website features or service providers we use change. The current version will be published on www.ersshop.ie with a revised Last updated date.
