Why use cable shears instead of diagonal cutters for cable?
Cable shears like the KNIPEX 95 12 165 cut with a scissor action that leaves a round, undeformed cable end ready for lugs and ferrules, whereas diagonal cutters crush stranded cable. Note they must not be used on steel wire or hard-drawn copper.
