Product Details

The HSS-CBB-4 HSS cobalt drill bit is a jobber-length twist drill of 4mm diameter, made to DIN 338 with a straight shank and amber finish.

Features:

HSS M35 tool steel with 5% cobalt for extra heat and wear resistance
Fully ground flutes for accurate, clean drilling
Amber (bronze) surface finish
Straight (parallel) shank fits standard drill chucks
Suited to stainless steel, cast iron and other hard metals

Does the cobalt help with tougher materials? Yes, the 5% cobalt improves heat resistance so the bit copes better with stainless steel and hard alloys.
