The SP0.55-80-4 self-power synchronous motor is a 0.55kW 4-pole hybrid motor running at 1440 RPM on a 230/400V supply in an 80A frame. After an asynchronous start it synchronises with the supply frequency and holds constant speed under varying load without an encoder, giving IE4 efficiency, lower running temperature and a smaller frame than an equivalent asynchronous motor.
